Tanggal 25 Januari 2012 yang lalu, angin puting beliung menghantam sejumlah kawasan di Kep.Seribu, salah satunya yang terparah adalah di Pulau Harapan dan Pulau Kelapa. Banyak rumah warga rusak, dan sekolah sekolah terpaksa diliburkan karena atap sekolah mereka hancur.
